Ken Petty

Ken is a highly regarded commercial lawyer providing expertise to government enterprises, private companies, accomplished families and not for profits in commercial structuring, governance, succession, change and transition, goal setting and planning, mergers and acquisitions, special projects and growth.

Ken’s strength lies in his lateral and strategic approach to legal advice. He is able to manage, guide and direct discrete issues across projects, governance and transactions based on a practical and commercial focus, underpinned by a thorough understanding of the law. He is often used as a ‘sense check’ and referred to as a trusted advisor.

Ken enjoys the challenge of helping organisations grow, supporting leadership and advising on business succession, acquisition strategies, good governance and risk mitigation. Ken has been individually retained by successful families to help them plan and guide their futures both at a personal and enterprise level.

As Chair of the St Stephen’s College Board and Deputy Chair of the Kimberly College Board, Ken is committed to contributing to strong governance within the educational sector on the Gold Coast.

Ken is also a council member of Chair Connect and a committee member of Queensland Gives Gold Coast Committee and has previously held positions with Gold Coast Central Chamber of Commerce, Australian Institute of Company Directors, Retail Committee – Property Council of Australia and Business Advisory Board, Study Gold Coast.
