Michelle is a government, planning and development law leader with over 25 years of experience. Michelle advises government and corporate clients on project approvals, infrastructure funding and delivery, plan making, statutory reform and regulatory compliance.
Michelle is a leading practitioner in the Planning and Environment Court with a strong track record in the successful resolution of planning disputes and judgments on matters of strategic importance.
Michelle is highly regarded for her strong project management and case management skills.
Michelle sits on the Queensland Development Tribunal, hearing building, enforcement and infrastructure appeals.
Michelle is an Associate Professor of Law at Bond University, lecturing in Planning and Development Law.
She was named Lawyer of the Year for Land Use and Zoning Law in Queensland, by Best Lawyers Australia 2024 and again in the 2025 edition. Michelle has also been recognised in Best Lawyers Australia 2021 – 2026 for Planning and Environment Law and Doyle’s Guide 2021 – 2026 as a Leading Planning and Development Lawyer.
