Star practices in litigation and commercial dispute resolution, primarily for medium to large corporate clients. She conducts complex commercial litigation matters, with a particular focus on commercial disputes in superior courts and tribunals involving corporate, property and construction, franchising, insolvency and complex contractual disputes.
Star brings a genuine focus on clients’ commercial needs and how to obtain the best commercial outcomes for their business. She has been legal representative in various alternative dispute resolution conferences (including in QCAT) and mediations and has instructed in the Supreme Court of Queensland, Supreme Court of New South Wales, Supreme Court of Victoria, District Court of Queensland and the Federal Court of Australia. She is experienced in drafting pleadings, taking and drafting witness statements, disclosure, organising witnesses and briefing counsel.
Star is also passionate about her community. She is the former President of the Gold Coast Junior Chamber of Commerce and board member of the Gold Coast Central Chamber of Commerce and plays an active role in developing young professionals on the Gold Coast and staff across the firm.
