Tim leads our Succession, Wills and Estates practice advising individuals and families in all aspects of succession planning, estate and trust administration and disputes. Tim’s diverse client base includes professionals in the medical, legal and corporate/ business fields as well as charities and related corporations and trustee companies in multiple jurisdictions throughout Australia.
Tim’s practice includes complex estate planning and restructuring, and advising and representing executors and beneficiaries on difficult estate administration issues, will and trust disputes, and guardianship and administration matters.
Tim’s broad litigation background, particularly in family provision claims, testamentary capacity and attorney/ guardianship disputes, allows him to bring a unique perspective to succession planning and minimise the prospect of litigation through pragmatic and bespoke restructuring and advice.
Pro bono work is an important part of Tim’s practice. He has regularly volunteered at various community legal centres including the homeless persons legal clinic and self-representation services of the District and Supreme Courts of Queensland and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal. He has also served on various community and charitable boards including the management committee of LawRight.
