Effective 1 July, we are pleased to announce appointments across the firm, recognising lawyers who have earned the trust of clients and colleagues alike, and who are helping to shape the future of RedeMont.

“These promotions really reflect who we are as a firm. We grow when our people grow. Each of these appointments has been earned through consistent quality of work, genuine care for clients and for each other, and a commitment to doing things properly. We’re incredibly proud to recognise them.” – Lee James, CEO

Vanessa Walsh has been appointed NSW Planning Practice Leader. Vanessa practised in Sydney for over a decade and has deep dual jurisdiction expertise in planning and development matters. Her appointment reflects both her individual capabilities and the growing interest from clients across northern NSW who are looking to RedeMont for guidance on complex planning work, alongside her ongoing work with clients in Queensland.

Madaline Hartwig has been promoted to Special Counsel. Madaline is a foundational member and leader in our institutions, education and government insurance practice where she acts for national insurers, their insureds and schools across multiple jurisdictions, including Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Marieanne Golubinsky has been promoted to Special Counsel. Recognised by Doyle’s Guide in 2025 as a Rising Star in Queensland Property Law and serving as Vice President of the UDIA Gold Coast Branch Committee, Marieanne advises on large-scale and legacy matters for clients and communities – including airport terminal redevelopments, mixed-use commercial and retail precincts, and the expansion and ongoing management of national property portfolios across freehold and leasehold interests.

Grace Georgilopoulos has been appointed Associate, in recognition of her growing capabilities in privacy law and governance. Grace holds the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) designation, an internationally recognised credential offered by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, reflecting the rigour she brings to an area of increasing importance for clients navigating complex regulatory obligations.

Hein Kuyler has also been appointed Associate. Hein has made a strong impact on team culture and client outcomes since joining RedeMont. He is completing his PhD and teaches at Bond University, contributing meaningfully to thought leadership and the future of the profession.

Guy Cosgrove has been appointed equity Partner. “I’ve watched this firm grow into something genuinely different in this market, and I’m proud to take on this next step with the team,” said Guy. “It’s a privilege to be trusted with a greater stake in where RedeMont goes from here.”

RedeMont is a full-service law firm with more than 43 years of history serving clients across the Gold Coast, South East Queensland and beyond. Our people are the foundation of every client relationship we build.
