A great feature of the Planning and Environment community in Queensland is the Queensland Environmental Law Association (QELA). As acknowledged by retired Planning and Environment Court Judge Rackemann, QELA demonstrates a “capacity and willingness to work towards advancing the interests of the jurisdiction and the public interest which it, in turn, serves. Despite the diversity, there is a palpable sense of common purpose for the greater good”.
Our Planning and Environment team members are proud to be contributing to the thought leadership, networking and collaboration that QELA fosters, having been appointed to the following QELA 2025 Sub-Committees:
- Seminars: Michelle Pennicott
- Conference: Vanessa Walsh
- Expert Witness Workshop: Tammy Tye
- Legislative and Policy Review: Carolyn Salam and Piper Fraser
